Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 : What’s New ?
General September 9, 2009, Comments OffIts a Day of Glory , when the Red Hat guys decided to launch their Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 version with tons of change logs and features.
The enhancements are incremental and non-disruptive to legacy hardware and all applications. The processes in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 are designed to allow applications that ran on 5.3 to continue to run seamlessly on 5.4 without modification. Red Hat has decided to maintain their same strategy with the release of 5.5 as well.
While Red Hat remains committed to the open source technology, they have included of kernel-based virtual machine (KVM) virtualization technology in the latest release, along with Xen virtualization technology. Since KVM is integrated into the Linux kernel, it takes full advantage of the operating environment. including hardware and application support.
And all this for FREE !!! for the customers running 5 version.
